Ways to keep the memories of your wedding flowers fresh forever...
Well, hello there...
Welcome to our very first Tweedle Talk and what will hopefully be the start of a series of regular blog posts by the both of us! We have wanted to start up something like this for a while now, but actually bringing those words on to paper is probably another story! However, for now, we have made it here and we hope that you do enjoy them with us too.
For our first talk, we are discussing and bringing to you, some of the many different options that there are out there, for ways of preserving your bridal flowers. Your bridal bouquet (especially if we have been lucky enough to work with you on this) represents those colours, scents, styles and memories of your big day and to be able to keep a part of that for a lifetime can really bring something special to remember your day by. Itβs something that weβve been asked to recommend many times, from both our past and future wedding couples and lucky for them, and you, we have some amazing UK small businesses we would love to highlight and would recommend for helping your floral memories to last a lifetime!
These small businesses are led by some really lovely people and theyβre businesses that we have been lucky enough to either get to know better both online and offline or we have received work from them ourselves personally and we would happily sit and recommend them to you always.
Infinity Flowers
First up in our talks, we have βInfinity Flowers', a West Yorkshire based business just like ourselves led by the lovely Jenny who is the creative mastermind behind it all. Infinity Flowers work on the principal of taking your fresh wedding florals and using a special 3D preservation technique to create a deep-set framework of your most treasured flowers to keep forever. What an incredible and unique idea! Itβs also always very clear to us how much care, time and work goes into each and every bouquet that Jenny works on.
There are several choices of how you can have your bouquet or wedding florals displayed in your frame; including angles from a side, a birds eye view & with your bouquet laid exactly as it was arranged and held on your wedding day. All sized bouquets are welcome, from small to long and trailing, which we also think is amazing! Another option that Jenny offers, is the Infinity Flowerβs signature βBlanket Styleβ in which your bouquet will be carefully dismantled and rearranged to fill the whole frame out in an abstract style. They look simply stunning and are a true work of art. We really love the idea of either for a perfect memory to have from your special day!
We already have Tweedle brides who are booked in to have this done themselves so if you love this idea for yourself and would like to know more information, then do head on over to Infinity Flowerβs website, where you can find answers to many questions, prices and additionally so many amazing example images of work that Jenny has completed!
The Botanical Bouquet
Up next, we bring you the beautiful work of Liz Baker. Liz is an extremely talented fine art photographer who came up with the concept of βThe Botanical Bouquetβ in 2018. Her idea is based around her love for the iconic, botanic illustrations of flowers from the past and ultimately, she will turn your wedding florals into something like this of your own, describing it as a βmodern approach to bouquet preservationβ.
The gorgeous thought about this idea is that the flowers that are imaged will be your very own, Liz will ask you to send a selection of your wedding flowers that you would like to be included to her, so the whole bouquet isnβt necessary should you not want to part with the whole piece. This way of preservation is also ideal for anyone who may not have the space for a deep-set frame on their walls, yet want to still have the same feel of looking at it to think βthose were my flowersβ.
When we say fine art photography, we mean it! The clarity and print of βThe Botanical Bouquetβ is so spectacular you almost cannot get over the fact that the finished piece is an image. This is due to Liz using the finest quality pigments and printing on archival grade 100% pure cotton rag.
If you are interested and would like to know more about βThe Botanical Bouquetβ then head on over to Lizβs website where she breaks the concept, options and prices down for you in more detail.
Charlotte Argyrou ο»Ώ
Next, we wanted to talk about Charlotte. Charlotte Argyrou is an incredible illustrator (award winning may we add?) who offers an incredible service to have a bespoke illustration of your bridal bouquet curated. This is an item that is ideal to order for yourself as a post wedding treat but Charlotte has also had previous clients order these as a 1st Wedding anniversary gift or as a surprise gift to the newlyweds from a wedding guest!
The key difference with Charlotte's form of contemporary bouquet preservation is that she does not require the florals in their physical form. She can work from your professional photographer's images combined with your wedding florist for guidance on the names and specifics of flowers that are used in your day. Once this is all provided, Charlotte will then go away and portray the most sensational illustration for you., either of the full bouquet or there is also a mini bouquet option available too. Both are mounted and signed before they are then safely shipped off to you to admire at home.
The reviews for Charlotteβs work speak for themselves (literally) and we especially loved one in particular that described their bouquet illustration as being a new family heirloom to be passed down through generations to come.
If you have any questions for Charlotte or would like to see her beautiful website with more information for yourself then head on over to:
